Major Drug Bust in Sirohi: 12 kg MD Seized, Two Arrested

Jaipur: The Sirohi District Police in Rajasthan, in a joint operation with ATS Gujarat and NCB Jodhpur, seized 12 kg of MD from Shivganj. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. The operation was conducted late at night in Lotiwada Baragaon of the Kailash Nagar police station area.

The Sirohi SP stated that the police, along with ATS Gujarat and NCB Jodhpur, uncovered a clandestine factory manufacturing meth drugs on the farm of Rajaram Meghwal, son of Narsaram Meghwal. During the raid, the police seized 12 kg of prepared MD from the location and arrested Rajaram Meghwal (47) and his associate Dhanaram Vishnoi (45).

In addition to the seized drugs, the police also confiscated 60 kg of chemicals and equipment used in the manufacturing process of semi-processed meth in liquid form. The estimated market value of the seized drugs is around Rs 50 crore. The investigation is ongoing to identify others involved in this illegal drug trade.

This is not the first such case in Sirohi. Previously, the police had seized a large consignment of drugs worth Rs 4.26 crore being transported from Rajasthan to Gujarat. The Gujarat Police intercepted the drugs at the Amirgarh police post and arrested a Nigerian woman, Vakaigo Rejoice Paul, during the operation.
