Lucknow: A shocking case of selling a Muslim girl to a middle-aged man has come to light in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. A 13-year-old girl was also forcibly married in the Mundhapande police station area. The cousin has alleged that his aunt (the teenager's mother) has sold her to a middle-aged man for Rs 25,000. The cousin alleged that the aunt along with her son-in-law had carried out the act. He has taken money from the accused, a resident of Aonla Ghat village, and sold her daughter to him. The nephew alleged that the middle-aged man had been raping his cousin for a week. The cousin went to him and asked him to release the girl, but the accused sent him (brother) back saying that he had bought the teenager for Rs 25,000. He then lodged a complaint with the police. SO Mundhapande Amit Kumar said that the matter is being investigated since receiving the complaint. The investigation so far has not confirmed the transaction of the rupee.
