New Delhi: Nothing OS 1.1.7 update has started rolling out for Nothing Phone 1 users. With this update, the battery percentage of the AirPods can now be displayed. The feature is still in its experimental phase, and some users have noted that it sometimes doesn't work as expected. This most recent Nothing OS update also includes the November 2022 Android security patch, apart from bug fixes and other minor enhancements. None of this implies that this update will make the OS overall more fluid and less disruptive. Additionally, it is claimed to enhance the audio quality of videos recorded from mobile devices. The company notes in the changelog of the update that it adds support for displaying the battery percentage of Apple AirPods. Additionally, it is programmed to enhance the accuracy of the smartphone battery status. Carl Pai, CEO of Nothing, took to Twitter to solicit feedback on this most recent update. Users have reported issues with the newly added battery status features, which have received a mixed response. The most recent Nothing OS update also brings better performance and fewer lags. Additionally, it is said that the audio quality of the videos being recorded has been enhanced. Apart from general bug fixes, an issue that prevented WhatsApp notifications from responding in the lockscreen has also been fixed. The update for Nothing OS 1.1.7 is 79.72MB large. This version is being distributed to users via over-the-air (OTA) update. Pie recently hinted that Nothing OS 1.5.0 beta based on Android 13 will be released soon. The launch date for the Nothing OS 1.5.0 open beta program has not been announced yet, but it is expected by the end of the year. The stable Nothing Phone 1 Android 13 update is expected to roll out in early 2023.
