A religious institution should be generous to its poor employees: CITU District General Secretary

Tirupati: TTD forest employees wearing 'Thirunamam' raised slogans in praise of Lord Venkateswara, seeking his divine intervention to TTD management to see their obstinate attitude towards the poor workers agitating for 'time scale'. The TTD forest workers staged a unique protest at the forest office on Harerama Road here on Saturday. Addressing the protesters, CITU district general secretary K Murali criticized the TTD management for apathy on the demands of the workers.

The employees working in the forest department were responsible for increasing the greenery and maintenance of TTD forests and gardens at Tirumala and Tirupati under the hills, but their hard work was ignored by the TTD facing many risks, he said. Criticizing the hostile attitude of the management towards the employees, he said, "A religious institution should be generous towards its poor employees and ensure their welfare, but in case of TTD it is different."

He reminded that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, during his visit to Tirumala before the start of his padayatra, when he was in opposition, had assured time to forest workers if his party came to power, but his The assurance remained unfulfilled, although two years passed. After YSRCP came to power, CITU district treasurer Balasubramaniam and city president T Subramaniam also spoke.
