A strong India will never pose a threat to the world: Kerala Governor

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan stated on Thursday that even a strong India cannot pose a threat to the world as its cultural value does not permit it to think in terms of dominating over others. The Governor officially opened the International Youth Summit India-2023, which was held here in conjunction with National Youth Day and India's G-20 Presidency.

Everyone in the world may relax knowing that a strong India can only benefit other nations and humanity. No one in the world can ever feel threatened by a strong India. Never... Because our cultural ideals forbid us from conceiving of ourselves as superior to others, Khan addressed the crowd. He claimed that while one can pursue their beliefs freely, they cannot be forced onto others.

"I have the right and the freedom to live out my beliefs. But I don't have the right to try and force my beliefs on other people. That is the fundamentally important characteristic of Indian civilization,  Khan said.

The Governor expressed optimism that individuals who are pursuing their education in India will become ambassadors of Indian culture and way of life in their respective nations at the summit, which was also attended by representatives of young people from a number of other countries.
