A banker turned yoga enthusiast, Sushmita Mukhia is a strong believer in the power of yoga and exercise. It is Sushmita Mukhia’s journey that compels her to practice yoga on an everyday basis and swear by its healthy effects. Although she took up yoga to engage in Ayurvedic treatment for a few minutes in a day, it was only when she learned the in-depth techniques of yoga and Ayurveda that made her develop a strong interest in the practice. An age-old practice that is part of the Indian Cultural Heritage, Yoga is practiced alongside Ayurveda. While she learned all this during her treatment under Ayurveda, it is her strong desire to propagate this useful knowledge to her fans and followers and help them lead a healthy life too. As individuals lead their daily lives, stress sinks in and takes a permanent position in our lives. However, as she came in contact with Yoga, she immediately felt the power of such a practice. It was only after she attained a professional course of Teachers’ Training Course in Rishikesh that she began to coach on Yoga and related practice. Before stepping into Ayurvedic treatment, Sushmita Mukhia was a common individual who was isolated from the magical powers of Yoga. An MBA student, she used to exhaust herself to an extent where her body began giving responses that turned out to harm her metabolism. From gastric irritation to a suspicion of having stones, she had a hard time struggling with her illnesses and bodily imbalances. Living in a hostel, she was not able to take good care of herself. Since she had to consult several doctors regarding her health status, she further became very stressed while tackling her health problems. A workaholic, she swore by her professional life and found it hard to give time to her own body. After opening up to one of her friends, she was advised to enroll herself in the treatment of Ayurveda. Therefore, she decides to give that treatment a chance too as she had tried and tested a series of treatments. Luckily, the treatment turned out to work out and suddenly, she developed an interest in Yoga and Ayurveda. A banker by profession immediately turned her attention towards Yoga. An individual who used to indulge in her work more than anything was now highly involved in learning more and more about Yoga. As she got to acquire in-depth knowledge about the topic, she felt more likely to practice Yoga on a large-scale and thus shifted from a 15- minutes schedule to a full-time job as a Yoga teacher! Such a twist, as she claims, completely changed her life and influenced her to focus more on her body and bodily processes. As she had overlooked her physical health in the past, she was utterly focused on the present to take good care of herself from all aspects. This is the journey of Sushmita Mukhia who dealt with her challenges and went beyond her limits!
