Another giant came forward to invest in Jio platform

Within six weeks, in the midst of the worst condition of the economy, platforms have got another new investor through Reliance. According to information given by Reliance Industries Limited on Friday, Mubadala Investment Company of Abu Dhabi will invest Rs 9093.6 crore for 1.85 per cent stake in Jio Platforms. With this investment, Jio Platforms has raised Rs 87,655 crore from world-renowned technology and growth companies. Apart from Mubadala, Facebook, Silver Lake, Vista Equity Partners, General Atlantic and KKR have invested in the Jio platform.

For your information, let us tell you that the equity value of this investment of Mubadala, which came in Jio platforms, is Rs 4.91 lakh crore and the enterprise value is Rs 5.16 lakh crore. Reliance Industries Limited has said in its statement, 'Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala) will invest Rs 9093.60 crore in Jio Platforms with an equity value of Rs 4.91 lakh crore and enterprise value of Rs 5.16 lakh crore.'

Let us tell you that RIL's subsidiary Jio platform is a next generation technology platform whose focus is to provide high quality and affordable digital service in India. Its number of customers is 33.80 crore. Telecom service unit Reliance Jio also comes under Jio platform. At the same, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries said, 'I am happy that Mubadala, one of the world's best and diversified investors, has decided to partner with us. He will become a partner of our journey to make India a digital nation.
