Adani Group is set to invest a whopping Rs 12,400 crore into various ventures in Telangana, spanning a data center, clean energy initiatives, and a cement plant. The conglomerate, led by Chairman Gautam Adani, formalized this commitment by signing four memorandums of understanding (MoUs) at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was present at the signing ceremony. Adani Enterprises, the conglomerate's flagship entity, will allocate Rs 5,000 crore for establishing a 100 MW data center powered by green energy. Simultaneously, Adani Green Energy Ltd plans to match this investment in two pump storage projects. Ambuja Cements, another arm of the conglomerate, will contribute Rs 1,400 crore towards constructing a 6 million tonne per year cement plant. Additionally, Adani Defence and Aerospace will channel Rs 1,000 crore into developing facilities for countering drones and missiles. The conglomerate, recognized as one of the world's most substantial infrastructure groups, expressed its commitment in a statement: "The Adani portfolio of companies, one of the world's largest infrastructure conglomerates, and the Government of Telangana signed four MoUs for investment of over Rs 12,400 crore, at the World Economic Forum 2024. These MoUs will help build the foundations for economic growth of Telangana that is green, sustainable, inclusive, and transformative." Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) plans to establish a 100 MW data center in the next 5-7 years, powered entirely by renewable energy. AEL aims to collaborate with local micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and startups, fostering a globally competitive supplier base for the project. This initiative is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for 600 people. Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) will embark on two pump storage projects - 850 MW at Koyabestagudem and 500 MW at Nacharam. Meanwhile, Ambuja Cements will construct a 6 MTPA capacity cement plant on a 70-acre site within the next five years, contributing significantly to Ambuja's capabilities and creating employment for over 4,000 people. Adani Defence Systems and Technologies will invest over Rs 1,000 crore in the next decade to establish a comprehensive ecosystem for research, development, design, manufacturing, and integration of counter-drone and missile systems at the Adani Aerospace Park. This initiative is anticipated to enhance India's defense capabilities and generate employment for over 1,000 people.
