Bhubaneswar: Senior advocate Aditya Kumar Mohapatra was sworn in as an Orissa High Court judge on Friday. At the court's conference hall, Chief Justice S. Muralidhar administered the oath of office to him. On November 3, President Ram Nath Kovind appointed Mohapatra as a judge. Mohapatra earned his LLB degree from Madhusudan Law College after graduating from Ravenshaw University in Cuttack (now University). In 1995, he was admitted to the State Bar Council as an advocate. He has been working as a lawyer in the High Court since then. The number of judges in the Orissa High Court increased to 18 after Mohapatra was sworn in. Justices Mruganka Sekhar Sahoo, Radha Krishna Pattanaik, and Sashikanta Mishra were recently appointed and sworn in as judges.
