Pune: A couple and their two children were found dead in their house in Pune, Maharashtra. The Pune police suspect that the entire family may have committed suicide together. Police also say that the initial investigation has revealed that the family is struggling with the financial crisis. All four died after consuming some poisonous substance. So far, no suicide note has been found by the police.
Deepak Thote (55), his wife Indu (45), and their son (24) and daughter (17) were found dead in their house in Keshavnagar late on Friday night, an official from Mundhwa police station in Pune said late on Friday night. No suicide note has been found so far. We are taking action on the suicide aspect and as per preliminary information, the family was facing a financial crisis. He said that these people died due to eating some poisonous substance.
A similar case was heard in June 2020. Then due to the lockdown, four people of the same family, troubled by the financial crisis, committed suicide. In this case, the police had expressed apprehension that the husband and wife first hanged their children and then both of them also committed suicide. These people had written a suicide note with a pencil that the police should not disturb anyone.
