After all, why Lord Shiva cursed Mother Parvati

Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati were married. Both loved each other very much. Once, Lord Shiva was imparting Brahma knowledge to Mother Parvati. He was telling them about the creation and mysteries of the universe.

Mother Parvati was completely engrossed in the words of Lord Shiva. Then, suddenly, he is stung by a bee. She was shocked by the pain and stopped listening to Lord Shiva.

Lord Shiva saw that Mother Parvati was not paying attention to his words. They became angry and cursed him. He said, “You are distracted, so you will be born in the house of a fisherman.”

Mother Parvati realized her mistake. He asked for forgiveness from Lord Shiva, but it was too late. The curse could not be taken back.

Effect of curse:

Mother Parvati was born in a fisherman's house for many births. In every birth, she remembered Lord Shiva and desired to meet him.

Freedom:

Once, Mother Parvati performed rigorous penance for Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva was pleased with his penance and appeared before him.

Mother Parvati sought forgiveness from Lord Shiva and asked him to free her from the curse. Lord Shiva accepted the forgiveness of Mother Parvati and freed her from the curse.

Education:

This story teaches us that we should focus and maintain concentration while doing any work. We should not insult God and should follow His words carefully.

This story is found in different forms in different Puranas. In some Puranas, Lord Shiva did not curse Mother Parvati but gave her a test.

This story teaches us the importance of love, devotion and forgiveness.
