AHMEDABAD: How would you feel if you order a laptop worth Rs 50,000 on a website online and the delivery agent gives you the order with a bar of Ghadi soap of just Rs 5? This incident has happened to a student of IIM Ahmedabad, due to which he has got a shock. Actually, these days Big Billion Days Sale is going on. Taking advantage of this sale, a student named Yashasvi Sharma had ordered a laptop for his father. Yashasvi Sharma has said in a social media post that, I had ordered a laptop for my father, but Flipkart sent the Ghadi soap. Not only this, e-commerce company Flipkart has also refused to rectify its mistake. Flipkart's customer support is blaming me on the contrary. Yashasvi is also ready to provide the CCTV footage to Flipkart, but Flipkart has refused to accept its mistake. Yashasvi Sharma has revealed that the one "mistake" his father made while taking the delivery was that he was not aware of 'open-box' delivery. For this, the buyer has to open the packet in front of the delivery agent and give OTP only after seeing the product. According to Yashasvi, his father felt that OTP has to be given on taking delivery, which happens in most prepaid delivery cases. I have CCTV footage of the delivery boy moving without checking the box. Why didn't the delivery boy tell the receiver about the open box concept? Later unboxing revealed that there is no laptop inside but watch soap. However, this is not the first such case. Some time ago a person ordered an iPhone 12, but he got Nirma soap. That too twice. This incident has taken people by surprise, as Flipkart is considered to be one of the most trusted online shopping portals.
