Mumbai, 25 Sep (PTI) Aishwarya Rai Bachchan claims that spending time with her daughter Aaradhya on the sets of Mani Ratnam's monumental film "Ponniyin Selvan - I" was a magical experience for her. The eagerly anticipated Tamil historical drama, which is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel of the same name, tells the tale of the early years of Arulmozhivarman, a strong southern king who later rose to become the great Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I. The 48-year-old actress, who will portray Nandini, the Queen of Pazhuvoor, said her daughter treasured the opportunity to be on the movie set. "Aaradhya hasn't seen the movie yet. She was certainly enthralled at the time, though. There are a lot of people here (referring to her fellow actors) who are parents, and watching a period drama is always exciting. She did have the chance to visit the sets, and she found it to be hypnotic. In her eyes, I could see that, Aishwarya said at the press conference for the movie on Saturday. The actor recalled how Ratnam's action of allowing Aaradhya the chance to say "action" ended up being her daughter's most treasured memory. And he shows such sweet affection. I believe the moment she arrived on set and he gave her the chance to say "action" excited her the most. "She was unable to move past that.”Sir gave me the opportunity to say that," she says. Therefore, that is likely the most treasured memory. She already values this because it is so priceless. In my opinion, it would be a treasured memory as a child ". Aishwarya made her acting debut in the 1997 Tamil film "Iruvar" by renowned director Ratnam. Since then, the two have collaborated on films like "Guru," "Raavan," and "Raavanan." The actor described working with Ratnam as always being like working in a dream and gave Ratnam credit for helping her develop as a performer. "He is the ideal teacher and teacher guru. I arrived without any formal training. I just dove in head first. He and I worked together. There are many spiritual and divine aspects as well as many work ethics "he continued. Aishwarya compared her work on "Ponniyin Selvan-I" to that of a "sincere student" who faithfully translated Ratnam's vision. "In essence, that is what an actor does. Any artist would consider it a dream come true to have the chance to even just be a part of that. Everyone in this room will agree with me that they are humbled, creatively satisfied, and feel privileged to have been a part of his dream movie "She spoke. Ratnam claimed that ever since reading the original book in school, making "PS-I" has been a dream come true. "I never imagined that I would work in the film industry or that I could succeed. But the call has always been there. As a tale and an adventure, it was truly amazing. "Several people have attempted to do this in the past but have failed, most likely due to the fact that they intended to leave it for me. Therefore, I'm thrilled that I was able to produce it at a time when technology has advanced significantly, the seasoned director said. Superstars Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Jayam Ravi, and Aishwarya Lekshmi are also included in "Ponniyin Selvan-I." Ratnam expressed his gratitude to the cast and crew for embracing his vision. It was extremely special to be able to do it with this kind of cast and crew, who cared about the movie and were willing to follow along. Additionally, he thanked Ajay Devgn for narrating the Hindi version of the film as well as Anil Kapoor for providing the voiceover in the Hindi trailer. "Ponniyin Selvan I" will be released in theatres on September 30 and is supported by Ratnam's production company Madras Talkies and Allirajah Subaskaran's Lyca Productions. It will be made available in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
