Ajit Pawar said- Shiv Sena will break.., We already warned Uddhav...

Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) veteran leader and former deputy CM Ajit Pawar said on Friday (February 3) that party chief Sharad Pawar and some other party men had informed the then Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray about a possible rebellion in his party Shiv Sena, but he (Uddhav) was sure that his MLA would not take such a step.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government was reduced to a minority in June last year after a group of undivided Shiv Sena MLAs, led by then cabinet minister Eknath Shinde, revolted against Thackeray's leadership. Later, the rebel MLAs and the BJP came together to form the government under the leadership of Shinde. Now, during an interview, Ajit Pawar was asked whether the MVA government had any apprehensions about a rebellion in the Shiv Sena, to which Pawar said that there were indications about such apprehensions long back and Thackeray was also informed about it.

NCP leader Ajit Pawar said, 'Pawar Saheb (Sharad Pawar) himself had warned Thackeray about this. Pawar saheb had even called Thackeray and warned him about it (possible rebellion in Shiv Sena). However, Uddhav ji had said that he has faith in his MLAs and he is sure that they will not take such a step.'
