Akasa Air to Launch Daily Kuwait Flights from August 23

New Delhi: Akasa Air is set to commence its new service to Kuwait on August 23, marking its fifth international destination as the airline approaches its two-year anniversary. This new route will feature daily direct flights between Kuwait City and Mumbai, enhancing both passenger and cargo capacity on this busy route.

Akasa Air, which began operations on August 7, 2022, already serves several international destinations, including Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Abu Dhabi. In addition to its international services, the airline operates flights to 22 domestic cities across India.

The new Kuwait-Mumbai route is expected to meet the high demand for travel between India and Kuwait, catering to passengers visiting friends and relatives (VFR) as well as business travelers. This expansion aligns with Akasa Air's strategy to grow its footprint in the Middle East, a region with strong travel ties to India.

According to a statement released by the airline on Monday, this new service will provide substantial capacity for both passenger and cargo traffic. The airline anticipates capturing significant market share in both segments, driven by the robust demand for travel between these two countries.

With nearly two years of successful operations, Akasa Air continues to strengthen its network and enhance connectivity for its passengers. The addition of the Kuwait route underscores the airline's commitment to providing more travel options and convenient connections for its customers.
