Chandigarh: Cold wave conditions continue to prevail in north India. Due to freezing and cold wave, winter vacations are continuing in schools in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, and Haryana. In most states, schools were instructed to remain closed till January 15, but now in view of the increasing cold, the Haryana government has extended the date of winter vacation of schools. The Manohar Lal Khattar government in Haryana on Friday extended the winter vacation in all schools in the state till January 21 in view of the cold weather. According to a notice issued by the Haryana Directorate of School Education, all government and private schools will remain closed till January 21 after the winter vacations are extended. Earlier, schools that opened on January 16 will now open on January 23. However, the notice states that the extra classes of Haryana 10th and 12th will continue. This decision has been taken in view of board examinations. Haryana Board President Dr. VP Yadav and Secretary Krishan Kumar released the date sheet of the Haryana Board Examination 2023 on Wednesday (January 11). Haryana Board Exam 2023 will be held in February-March 2023. The class 10 board exams will be held from February 27 to March 25, 2023, and the class 12 board exams will be held from February 27 to March 28, 2023. The board exam will be held in a single shift - from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
