Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court has remarked that if Mukhtar Ansari is not a criminal gangster, then there cannot be any gangsters in the country. Along with this, the High Court has rejected the bail application of the famous mafia in the Gangster Act case registered for indiscriminate firing on laborers in Azamgarh. The court said that even before this court rejected another bail application of Mukhtar and said that there are 58 serious cases like murder, attempt to murder, robbery, dacoity, extortion, kidnapping, and extortion against Mukhtar.

In North India, his image is that of Robin Hood. He is a dreaded and habitual criminal, who has been active in the crime world since 1986, but to date, he has not been punished in a single case. This is a challenge to our judicial system. If he is not a criminal gangster, then there cannot be any other gangster in the country. The court has observed that the present offense which took place on February 6, 2014, was committed only to create panic among the common people. So that no one other than the accused and his gang members would dare to take the contract, his gang members fired indiscriminately, in which one innocent laborer was killed and others were injured.

While hearing Mukhtar's bail application, Justice DK Singh remarked that even after having 58 cases under serious sections, Mukhtar has not been punished in any case so far because no witness comes forward due to his fear. This is a challenge to our judicial system. During the hearing of the bail plea, Mukhtar Ansari's lawyer Upendra Upadhyay requested the court that he wanted to withdraw his application, so this bail application should be rejected on the basis of withdrawal. However, Mukhtar did not give an undertaking that after withdrawing the application, he would not file another bail application.

Mukhtar Ansari has old family relations with Congress, and the gangster's grandfather Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari has been the National President of Congress. And Hamid Ansari, who was the Vice President of the country for 10 years, is Mukhtar's uncle. Hamid Ansari was also accused of putting the lives of RAW agents in danger when he was the Vice President. The result of these relations with the Congress was that the Congress government of Punjab made every possible effort to keep Mukhtar in its jail. It was later revealed that the Punjab government was giving VVIP treatment to Mukhtar in jail.
