Washington: In California, the US, a female teacher hid her 15-year-old student in her house for almost two years. Holga Castillo Olivares, a 61-year-old teacher at Sacramento Public Schools, is accused of concealing the fact that the student was staying at her home while a missing report was filed to find the student since 2020. The police arrested the woman. The student's parent Kate Smith said that after an argument at home on 18 May 2020, he had left his family and home after an argument. Then on March 11 this year, the student again went to live at his house, after which he told that he had been living at Olivares's house for the past two years. Olivares, a teacher by profession, is also a friend of the child's mother. Smith, the boy's father, has said he felt robbed. He said, 'You can't hide someone's child at home and say it's all right.' Olivares has been charged last Thursday with keeping a minor in his home to hide from his parents. He was kept without bond, after which she appeared in court in the past. The statement issued against the woman stated that the charges filed are for acts unrelated to the assigned duties of the employee. At the same time, the school administration has also taken strict steps against teacher Olivares and sent her on leave. The school says it is further investigating the allegations against the teacher.
