US: Wallmart announced customers and staff who are fully vaccinated, no longer have to wear masks

Washington: US giant Company Walmart has said that people who have been vaccinated,  no longer need to wear masks in Walmart stores. The rule will come into effect from next week for customers as well as employees of the company. In this context, the company said in a statement, "The company welcomes vaccinated customers to shop without masks and we urge non-vaccinated customers and members to wear masks in our stores and clubs".

However, where masking has been made mandatory by the local authorities, it is still necessary to wear masks. The company said employees who have been vaccinated for more than two weeks may stop wearing masks from May 18. If the employees prove that they have taken the vaccine dose, Kantni will also give them a bonus of $75. Walmart had made it mandatory for all customers to wear masks in July last year.

It has now become the first Us company to remove the imperative. The company is the largest private employer in the US. Walmart has about 1.5 million employees. Despite the epidemic, Walmart saw an increase in sales in 2020 last year.
