Amit Shah appeals Tamil Nadu to vote for double engine growth against DMK-Congress ‘dynasty’

Chennai: Lashing at the DMK and the Congress, Amit Shah urged the people to reject the parties which are corrupt, believe in dynasty politics and follow divide and rule policy.

“The state’s development is possible only if we defeat dynastic and corrupt DMK-Congress. Only the development journey started under PM Modi’s leadership can make Tamil Nadu of MGR and Jayalalithaa’s visions.

The Chief Minister and Deputy CM did good work. I appeal to the people to make it a double engine government in Tamil Nadu,” Shah said at a rally in Chennai.

MG Ramachandran (MGR)  was the founder of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) that runs the current government. Former chief minister Late J Jayalalithaa was his prodigy. The current CM Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy CM O Panneerselvam both belong to the AIADMK.

Shah alleged that Congress President Sonia Gandhi is concerned only about making Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister while DMK leader Stalin wants to see his son Udhayanidhi as the Chief Minister. They are not bothered about India and Tamil Nadu, he said.

“In Tamil Nadu you have 2G, 3G and 4G. 2G means Maran’s two generations, 3G means Karunanidhi’s three generations and 4G means Gandhi family’s four generations,” he said.

Shah held a roadshow for BJP’s Thousand Lights candidate Khushbu Sundar for the April 6 Assembly polls.
