But despite so much opposition, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced in Bolpur, West Bengal that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will be implemented after the Corona situation in the country is brought under control. We will discuss this matter after the corona vaccination begins. Shah said that until Corona is under control, such a huge process cannot be started. Let me tell you that Amit Shah is going to be the star campaigner for BJP in the Bengal elections, for which he has already started building a base. This statement by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the implementation of CAA has come at a time when many organizations in the Northeast, especially Assam are once again taking up arms against this law. The Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti (CMSS) has already announced that it will observe 'Anti-CAA Week' from 24 to 31 December, in which religious conversions and mass conferences will be held in many places. In addition, other student bodies and organizations have relaunched anti-CAA demonstrations across Assam. Meanwhile, the newly formed Assam Janata Parishad, which debuted in the Assam Assembly elections in 2021, has also announced that it will contest the state elections mainly on the anti-CAA agenda.
