Amit Shah responds to TIME's World’s Greatest Place list

NEW DELHI: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Thursday, congratulated his fellow citizens on Ahmedabad's inclusion in Time Magazine's list of the "World's 50 Greatest Places of 2022," which includes Ahmedabad as India's first UNESCO World Heritage City.

Shah said in a series of tweets that Ahmedabad's inclusion on Time Magazine's list of the "World's 50 Greatest Places of 2022" is "matter of enormous pride for every Indian, especially the people of Gujarat." Ahmedabad was India's first UNESCO World Heritage City. Congratulations to everyone!".

The union minister said that since 2001, the visionary ideas of Prime Minister Modi, the then chief minister of Gujarat, have laid the foundation for building world-class infrastructure in the state.

In a series of tweets, Modi emphasised the need of building future-proof infrastructure and making India "future-ready," regardless of the Sabarmati riverside or Ahmedabad's science city.

The TIME magazine recently released its list of the ‘World’s Greatest Places’ of 2022 that featured 50 premier destinations to explore which includes the names of Ahmedabad and Kerala.
