Garhwa: A shocking incident is coming to light from Jharkhand, where an elderly man was murdered in Mazigaon under Garhwa district. 55-year-old Ashok Pal was crushed to death by unidentified miscreants in Chirkuthi village tola of Morbe panchayat under Mazigaon police station area. The deceased had left home late at night saying that he had to drop sand for the construction of a new house. In the morning, the family received the news that Ashok's body was lying nearby. Ashok's head has been badly crushed. There are also deep injury marks on other parts of the body. The cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained. The wife of the deceased has told the police about mutual rivalry with two people of the village. The family informed the police about Ashok's murder. As soon as the news was received, police station in-charge Kamlesh Kumar Mahato and ASI Chandrashekhar Azad reached the spot with full force. The police sent the body to garhwa sadar hospital for postmortem and started investigating. The station house officer said that from the injury marks on the head and body, it seems that the deceased must have been brutally beaten before being murdered. Later, the face was crushed with the intention of erasing evidence. Station House Officer Kamlesh Mahato said that something can be said clearly only after the post-mortem report comes. Ashok Pal's wife told the police that two years ago, he had a dispute with Ramchandra Pal, Vasudev Pal and Bigan Pal of the village. The police are also investigating the case from this angle.
