Recently an Islamic cleric from Iran has claimed that people become gay by applying the Corona vaccine. Ayatollah Abbas Tabrizian said this on the social media app Telegram. He has over two lakh followers on this app. According to media reports, Tabrizian wrote that do not go to people who have been vaccinated by Corona, because such people have become gay.
The LGBTQ and human rights campaigner, Peter Tatchell says the statement is degrading both the vaccine and the gay community. This controversial cleric has made many strange claims on Western medicines earlier also. In January last year, the video of the Muslim leader went viral on social media, in which he was seen burning the book of an American scientist. Burning the book, the Muslim cleric claimed that Islamic medicine made such books irrelevant.
