Andhra: 6 killed, 10 injured after truck collides with minivan in Palnadu

PALNADU: On Monday, May 30,  a truck struck a stopped minivan in Rentachintala village in Andhra Pradesh's Palnadu district, killing six people and injuring ten others.

According to the police authorities, there were 39 people in the minivan at the time of the accident. The minivan was coming from Srisailam, according to Gurjala Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jayram.

"In the Palnadu district, a major road accident occurred. When a truck crashed with a parked minivan and turned it turtle, six persons were killed. Another ten people were seriously injured. The police responded to the information and conducted rescue operations on the scene " said the police superintendent.

The injured were taken to the Gurjala Government Hospital and the Narsaraopet Hospital.  A case has been filed, and an investigation is currently proceeding.
