Lucknow: There has been a major road accident in the country's largest state of UP's Bahraich. 7 devotees have died in the accident. While 12 people have been injured. According to the news received, this major accident took place on the Bahraich-Lakhimpur Kheri highway on Sunday morning. The truck and the tempo traveller collided head-on on the Bahraich-Lakhimpur road.
In the accident, five people died tragically on the spot, while two people succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. Twelve people were injured in the accident. The injured have been sent to the district hospital for treatment, while the body has been taken into custody and sent for post mortem.
Motipur SHO Mukesh Singh said that it was received that a truck and a tempo traveller collided head-on near Nainiha on Bahraich-Lakhimpur road. Due to the sharpness of the collision, the tempo traveller's wheels flew away. 5 Bodies have been exhumed. The injured persons have been sent to the district hospital for treatment. Two people died in the hospital. The Collector and superintendent of police have reached the spot.
