Andhra Pradesh: Exotic flowers were showered on Malayappa Swamy during the annual flower yagna

Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh): After special pujas to thousands of baskets at TTD garden office at the annual Pushpa Yagna festival held at Tirumala temple on Saturday, additional EO A V Dharma Reddy along with temple staff and Srivari servants brought colourful baskets in one of the lord Venkateswara temples. It is silence for all, the priest Malayappa Swamy and his two godly wives Sridevi and Bhudevi goddesses have showered tons of foreign flowers.

On Saturday, special ceremonies were held for the flower ceremonies called "Pushpa Yajna". The priest and Ziar Swami officially performed "Snappana Thirumanjanam", Malayappa Swamy and his two divine concerts took a divine bath with milk, yoghurt, honey, sandalpaste, turmeric and aromatic water.

The hill temple was celebrated at 1 to 5 pm, with temple priests showering 7 tonnes of 14 types of flowers and six types of fragrance leaves on Malayappa Swamy and his divine ingredients. It is a wonderful sight, with a seven hillgod with rose, jasmine, ball flower, ikshora and aromatic leaves raining.

Speaking to reporters on the Pushpagam festival, Additional EO A V Dharma Reddy said the annual festival is celebrated in the hill temple since the 15th century. Although the annual festival was later stopped, TTD resumed the festival activities of the Pushpa Yagam in 1980 and has since been watching the annual festival every year.

Later in the evening, After performing the Sahasra Deepalankar service, the devotees were blessed on four Mada roads.
