Visakhapatnam: Corona curfew in Andhra Pradesh has been extended till June 30, but an additional four-hour relaxation has also been granted. Curfew will be in force from June 21 to 6 pm daily. State CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced this at a high level review meeting on corona virus on Friday. The corona curfew imposed for the first time this year on May 5 was extended in several phases till June 20. A CMO release said that all shops and business establishments will remain closed till 5 pm every day. Meanwhile, curfew will be in force in East Godavari district from 2 pm to 6 am due to continuous corona cases. Government offices will function normally from June 21 and employees have been instructed to come to work as per the revised schedule. In Andhra Pradesh, 6,151 new covid-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infected to 18,32,902 on Thursday. The death toll due to 58 more patients died during this period reached 12,167. East Godavari district reported the highest number of 1,244 new cases in the new cases. This was followed by 937 new cases in Chittoor, 647 in West Godavari and 554 in Prakasam.
