Andhra ranks first in Ease of Doing Business: IT Ministry

VIZAG: Andhra Pradesh has ranked first in the ease of doing business in the country, said the State Industries and IT Minister Gudivada Amarnath on Friday.

The minister, who returned on Thursday from taking part in the Business Reforms Action Plan conference convened in Delhi by Prime Minister Modi, stated: "The national government has identified seven states as the top achievers after compiling the feedback from 10,200 investors and stockholders across the nation. this is the reason why Andhra Pradesh ranks top in pride. Gujarat was in second place with 97.77 percent, followed by Tamil Nadu in third place with 96.97 percent, with Andhra Pradesh taking the top spot with 97.89 percent."

Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy's successful initiatives in the industrial sector were the reason for reaching this rank, he said. The reports provided by the concerning state governments with regard to the industrial progress in the past, and from industrialists.

The Andhra Minister claimed that in contrast to the last instance, where all perspectives were considered in determining ranks, this time, unlike this, only the opinions of the industrialists were taken into consideration and the ranks were given.
