Prayagraj: Animal lover lodges FIR against 20 people for killing 2 puppies

In her statement, animal lover Vanshika Gupta said that on December 8, some people were holding five-six puppies and filling them in the car, during which one puppy was killed. On protesting, some women of the locality also assaulted him and threw stones at the car. He complained to the Colonelganj police, the police first deferred. However, after complaining to the top officials, the Colonelganj police registered a case and started investigating.

Regarding the matter, SP City Brijesh Srivastava said that an FIR has been lodged against 20 people including 5 nominees on the complaint of Mamsfordganj resident Vanshika Gupta who worked for animals at the Colonelganj police station. She alleged that the people of the locality together beat up 2 puppies fiercely, which led to the death of both. She was also beaten up for protesting. She told that the police has sent the body of the puppy to the post mortem. After the report comes, further action will be taken.
