PNB scam: Antigua doctors are not treating fugitive Mehul Choksi, lawyer withdraws petition

New Delhi: Mehul Choksi, accused in the Punjab National Bank scam and absconding from India, is currently in Antigua. Earlier, the Bombay High Court had said that Choksi was undergoing treatment in Antigua. That's why he can't come to India for muscle. But now the lawyers of Mehul Choksi have withdrawn the plea and told the court that antigua doctors have refused to treat choke.

In fact, Mehul Choksi's lawyer Vijay Agarwal has withdrawn his plea in the Bombay High Court in which he had argued that he could not come to India for Mehul Choksi's muscle due to treatment. Now the lawyer has told the court that Antigua doctors have refused to treat choke. Also, the main reason for this has been handed over to the court in a sealed cover. Earlier, the Bombay High Court had asked Mehul Choksi to submit his medical reports to the JJ Hospital in Mumbai. After the Bombay High Court order, the hospital doctors had to explain whether Mehul Choksi was in a position to come to India. When the PNB scam was exposed in 2017, both Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi fled the country.
