Anurag Kashyap used to sleep on streets, this is how his career started

Producer-Director Anurag Kashyap is known for his fierce statements in Bollywood. He remains in the headlines due to his statements more than his work. Anurag Kashyap was born on 10 September 1972 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. His father was the Chief Engineer in the electricity department and Anurag spent his childhood travelling around different corners of the state. Because of his father's job, he stayed in many different cities. Apart from this, he received his early education from Green School in Dehradun and Scindia School of Gwalior. Anurag took admission in Hansraj College, Delhi for further studies.

When Anurag Kashyap was studying in Delhi, he joined the theater group and started participating in the street plays with Jan Natya Manch. After that, Anurag reached Mumbai. When he came to Mumbai, he had only five thousand rupees in his pocket. In the beginning of his career, he faced many problems. After that he slowly started to feel that now he will accumulate his career. When he ran out of money, he had to sleep on the streets.

He first got work in Prithvi Theater. After that, his luck shone when Manoj Vajpayee suggested Anurag Kashyap's name to Ram Gopal Varma as a writer. During that time, Ram Gopal Varma saw some works of Anurag and he liked him. After that, Anurag's luck shone and he became a famous director. His 'Gangs of Wasseypur' movie series is considered one of his best works. He is counted among the veterans of the Bollywood industry.
