On 21 August, actors Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi headed to Glasgow to shoot the spy thriller movie 'Bellbottom'. This is the first Bollywood movie to resume shooting outside the country after the lockdown. Makers have arranged an 80s set, and the film's shooting will run until the end of September.

The team started the shoot with a 10-day indoor schedule. It is revealed that this movie is being directed by Ranjit Tiwari and that the movie is inspired by real events, the movie is based on kidnapping. Akshay plays the role of a high-profile detective. He bets on his life to save 212 Indians, who are on a plane and who have been taken as hostage.
Jackie Bhagnani said, "Our movie is a detective thriller, which revolves around a hijack. We will be shooting in many areas in Scotland. The airport is built on the old structure and mixes well with our movie. Today Akshay turns 53 and will be working on his birthday". However, Jackie admitted that he has devised a special strategy for Akshay. Prior to this, the team flew to the UK on 6 August and continued its preparations using a 14-day self-isolation time. Now all the fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the film.
