A sportsman spirit-revamp took place in the cabinet of ministers under Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, with Anurag Thakur being made in charge of the Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry, as well as the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. Thakur took charge of his new responsibilities at elevated spirt at 3:30 PM Thursday. All possible efforts will be made to fulfil my duties." Thakur relationship with sports isn't new, having worked as the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from May 2016 to January 2017. Thakur's appointment has also raised a few eyebrows considering the changes in the Sports Ministry has taken place just a couple of weeks before the start of the Tokyo Olympics.
