The first Apple Store in India has opened in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex. Apple's CEO Tim Cook had come to India for the store's inauguration, and it was he who opened the store's gate and formally inaugurated it. The store that opened in Mumbai has been named Apple BKC. This store of Tim Cook is located in the Reliance Jio World Drive Mall of Asia's famous industrialist Mukesh Ambani, and it is being claimed that Apple will have to pay a monthly rent of lakhs of rupees for this store.

According to the report, the Apple company will pay businessman Ambani a rent of about 42 lakh rupees every month for the Apple Store, while it is also reported that Apple has signed an agreement with Ambani for a space of about 20,800 square feet for 133 months, i.e., 11 years, on lease. The company will not only have to pay a hefty amount every month for the new Apple Store to be opened in the Ambani family's Reliance Jio World Drive mall, but Apple will also have to contribute 2 percent of revenue for the first three years and 2.5 percent after three years. Not only this, the rent of 42 lakhs per month will also increase by 15% every 3 years.
