Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh): The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has decided to run 1,750 buses for the convenience of the people who go to the temples in pancharam area (Palakollu, Bhimavaram, Draksharama, Samarlakota, Amaravati) in Karthik month. Buses to these temples run from all districts. All APSRTC managers have been instructed to arrange buses to visit temples in the month of Karthik. In the first week of Karthik month, APSRTC operates 106 buses from nine districts and 16 additional buses from Prakasam, Krishna and Guntur districts to Kottappakonda and Srisailam. On the occasion of Karthik month, people visit these five temples to worship Lord Shiva, who is called by special name in each of these temples. State Corona Updates On Thursday, 1,316 new corona cases were reported in Andhra Pradesh, with a total of 8.58 lakh cases of infection in the state. On Thursday, more than 1,821 patients recovered from the virus infection. In the last 24 hours, 227 cases have been reported in West Godavari district. Krishna-196, Anantapur-60, Guntur-206 and Chittoor-198 have recorded more cases. New cases came in Kadapa-58, Visakhapatnam -45, Prakasam -43, Nellore -40, Srikakulam -28, Vizianagaram -18, Kurnool -14. The highest number of 816 people died in Chittoor district. In the past 24 hours, 11 more patients have been infected with the virus, with the death toll reaching 6,910 from the corona. There are currently 16,000 active cases in the state out of 8.58 lakh cases. In the last 24 hours, 75,165 samples were tested in the state, totalnumber reached 94.08 lakh.
