Kolkata: Actress Arpita Mukherjee's life, who was embroiled in the teachers' recruitment scam in West Bengal, is being threatened. This has been stated by the central investigating agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the PMLA court. The ED told the court that Arpita needs to taste it before she can be given food in jail. Besides, keeping her with more than four prisoners in jail can also prove to be dangerous. According to media reports, the investigating agency has told the court that it has received inputs from intelligence sources that Arpita is not safe. Their lives are in danger. At the same time, on Partha Chatterjee, a former minister in the Mamata Banerjee government, the ED said that it has not received any such information about Partha Chatterjee. On Friday, during a review on the bail plea of Mukherjee and Chatterjee in the PMLA court, the ED told the court that they wanted 14-day custody of Partha Chatterjee and Arpita Mukherjee. According to them, they have found evidence against the two, whose links are needed to be connected. ED's counsel told the court that Partha Chatterjee and Arpita Mukherjee had entered into a partnership deed on January 1, 2012, under APA utility services. The ED said 'The accused had also bought some properties by paying cash. The source of the money used to buy these properties is being ascertained. We have also recovered some time phone data, which is to be questioned and answered by Partha Chatterjee. Therefore, we request the court to send him to judicial custody.'
