Chandigarh: A special court in Gurugram in Haryana has issued an arrest warrant against journalist Deepak Chaurasia. This warrant has been issued in connection with a 2013 case against Deepak Chaurasia. In fact, Chaurasia is alleged to have circulated a 'morphed, edited and obscene' video of a 10-year-old girl and her family and linked it to the sexual harassment case against self-proclaimed Baba Asaram. The court issued this order on October 28, 2022, when Chaurasia had filed a petition seeking relaxation in appearance citing serious health reasons. Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Shashi Chauhan said a similar petition was filed on September 23 as well. His opposition has argued that it appears that Chaurasia is deliberately avoiding the court. Because the medical report of Chaurasia in the court could not prove his arguments for serious health reasons. After this, the court also cancelled his bail bond, rejecting the petition to avoid his appearance. According to reports, Justice Shashi Chauhan issued a warrant of arrest for Chaurasia with the date of November 21, 2022. So far no response has been given by Deepak Chaurasia in the media in this matter. Let us tell you that Deepak Chaurasia is among the 8 people who were charge-sheeted in the case of editing, circulating obscene videos and linking the videos to the sexual harassment of a 10-year-old girl and her family.
