Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu hoisted the 104 feet high tricolor

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu unfurled the Tricolor, a 104 feet tall memorial at Ngangpa Natme (Buddha Park) atop Circuit House Tawang. Let us tell you that this monumental flag is the second highest monumental tricolor in the country at an altitude of 10000 feet in terms of height. Officials have informed that the unfurling of the national flag was inaugurated by Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad at Mahatma Gandhi Marg here.

The Governor unveiled the plaque and unfurled the national flag in the presence of CM Prem Singh Tamang, other ministers and senior officials. During this, he said that the flag mast would be a permanent structure here and the national flag would be flown throughout. The Feast Mast has also been installed by the State Roads and Bridges Department and is located opposite the Tourist Information Center at the entrance of MG Marg. Let us tell you that recently the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China had issued 'standardized' names of 15 places in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, renaming them.

China will now use these names in its official documents and maps because China considers Arunachal Pradesh as 'Southern Tibet'. India has condemned this move of China, saying that 'inventing the name' will not change the facts on the ground and 'Arunachal Pradesh has always been an integral part of India and will always be so.'
