Itanagar: PM Narendra Modi is on a tour of Arunachal Pradesh today i.e. on Saturday (November 19). Here in Itanagar, PM Modi inaugurated the state's first greenfield airport, Doni Polo Airport. Doni Polo Airport has been built at Hollongi. Due to this, operation, connectivity, trade, and tourism will get a rapid boost in the state. In fact, there was no airport in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh since 70 years of the country's independence. People here had to go to Lilabari Airport, 80 km away in the North Lakhimpur district of Assam. However, after the inauguration of Doni Polo, now people will not have to travel so far to take a flight. According to reports, along with the Doni Polo Airport, PM Modi also inaugurated the 600 MW Kameng Hydroelectric Project in Arunachal Pradesh. Explain that, the Kameng Hydroelectric Project has been developed in the West Kameng district at a cost of more than Rs 8,450 crore over an area of 80 km. This is expected to make the state a power surplus state and benefit in terms of stability and integration with the national grid. During the inauguration program, PM Modi said 'We have brought a work culture. Where we inaugurate the projects for which we have laid the foundation stone. The era of stalling, hanging, and misleading has gone.'' Regarding the inauguration of this airport, PM Modi said, 'When I laid its foundation stone in 2019, elections were about to be held at that time. That's why political commentators had raised hues and cries that the airport would not be built. But, today it is being inaugurated. Be it culture or agriculture, commerce or connectivity, the Northeast gets top priority, not last.' PM Modi said, 'This airport is a witness to the past and culture of Arunachal Pradesh. Doni means sun, while polo means moon.' This CM seen in mud paste from head to toe, did you recognize?
