New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi, speaking for the first time on the hard-nosed negotiations with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on an alliance in Delhi for the national election, on Monday fired a salvo at chief minister Arvind Kejriwal by accusing him of making “yet another U-turn”. He said, the party was ready to give up its claim on four of seven seats but Arvind Kejriwal had done a U-turn. "Our doors are still open, but the clock is running out," the Congress president posted. also read: PM Narendra Modi to address rallies in Odisha and Chhattisgarh Rahul’s barb drew a sharp response from Kejriwal, who accused the former of not being serious and indulging in rhetoric. Minutes after Gandhi’s tweet, Kejriwal came out with his own, even more strongly worded tweet. He asked Rahul Gandhi, “Which U-turn? The talks are still going on. Your tweet shows that you are not serious about the alliance. I am sad that you are indulging in rhetoric. Today it is important to save the country from the danger of the Modi-Shah duo. It’s unfortunate that you are helping Modiji by dividing anti-BJP votes in UP and other states,” Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi. Other AAP leaders also reacted to Gandhi’s tweet. AAP leader Sanjay Singh questioned why the Congress didn’t want to stop the BJP in other states. “Is this how agreements happen? Why don't you (Congress) want to stop the BJP in other states,” he tweeted, talking about the Congress’ refusal to share seats in other states. The Congress Delhi In-charge, PC Chacko reacted to this, saying that the two parties should come together first in Delhi. also read: EC banned Maneka Gandhi from campaigning for 48 hours
