Bhopal: Asaduddin Owaisi's party All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is also likely to field candidates in the first quarter of 2021 in Madhya Pradesh. AIMIM is said to be contesting from Muslim dominated cities by not contesting elections on all urban bodies. It is believed that it will have a direct bearing on the Madhya Pradesh BJP and the Congress. Because, so far, the BJP was dominating the body elections and the Congress, which had seen a defeat in the bye-election, also had expectations from the body elections. According to AIMIM State Executive Chairman Naeem Ansari, party observers from Hyderabad are conducting internal surveys in different parts of Madhya Pradesh these days. The survey has been completed at Ratlam, Indore, Khargon and Burhanpur. AIMIM's Madhya Pradesh-in-charge Syed Minhajuddin is reported to be on a visit to the state. The survey will be conducted at Bhopal, Indore, Ratlam-Javadera, Khargon, Khandwa, Burhanpur and Jabalpur and AIMIM can contest elections in these cities. However, after the survey report reaches Hyderabad, the top leadership of the party will decide whether to contest the body elections in these 6 cities or to contest elections in other cities also.
