Rajasthan: Farmers will soon get insurance claim

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given big gifts to millions of farmers. Under which, he has cleared the way for the amount they get as a crop insurance claim. Farmers will now be able to get the insurance claim amount soon. Several important decisions related to farmers have been taken in the meeting of the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation held in the CMR on Tuesday evening. The Chief Minister has ordered the officers that the benefit of the scheme of setting up an agro-processing unit should be provided to the farmers on a priority basis. For this, orders have also been given to run a campaign at the district level.

Under this scheme, farmers are given a loan of up to one crore for setting up agro-processing trade. The state government gives a grant of up to 50 percent on this. At the meeting, Chief Minister Gehlot also expressed concern over complaints by credit societies for cheating people. CM has ordered officers to prepare mechanisms to protect people from fraud.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has ordered to sanction Rs 250 crore from the Farmers Welfare Fund for early payment of insurance claims for the Rabi crop year 2019-20. Due to the payment of a premium of Rs 250 crore of the state government's share, about 2.50 lakh farmers will be able to pay the insurance claim of about Rs 750 crore soon.
