Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday inaugurated 4 police stations constructed under the Mission for Overall Improvement of Thana for Responsive Image (MOITRI). CM inaugurated the new building of Hojai police station and remotely inaugurated 3 other police stations of the state. He remotely inaugurated the new buildings of the police stations of Pulibor in Jorhat, Sonari in Charideo and Hamren in West Karbi Anglong. Constructed under MOITRI scheme, The new building of Hojai PS has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1.49 crore. The Assam chief minister also planted a sapling in the Hojai police station premises. Speaking on the occasion, chief minister Sonowal said, “These police stations have been developed with high-tech technology to cope up with the present situation.” Chief minister Sonowal visited Hojai on Sunday for the inauguration of a number of welfare projects. He first visited Hojai Gaon Panchayat Mela at Briddha Prabhu Ashram Field at Radha Nagar Gaon Panchayat. Then he addressed hundreds of BJP workers of 91-Hojai constituency and then inaugurated new building at Hojai police station. The event was also attended by Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, MP Pallab Lochan Das, Hojai MLA Shiladitya Dev, Lumding MLA Shibu Mishra, Hojai deputy commissioner Dr. Sadnek Singh, superintendent of police Manbendra Dev Ray.
