Asked for clarification from the woman who was harassed, the person who harassed was a star campaigner

Guwahati: The Assam Congress has issued a show cause notice to Dr. Angkita Dutta. Actually, Angkita, who was the president of the Assam Youth Congress, had accused the national president of the Youth Congress, BV Srinivas, of harassment and profanity. She had told that even former National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi did not pay heed to her complaints, and the process of harassment continued. Not only this, but after Angkita's allegations, the name of the accused Srinivas was also on the list of star campaigners released by the Congress for the Karnataka assembly elections. On the other hand, Angkita has been forced to write 'harassed woman president' in her Twitter bio after not being heard anywhere.

Let us tell you that Angkita has also filed a complaint against Youth Congress President Srinivas Biwi in Dispur, Guwahati. After this, instead of taking action against Srinivas, the state Congress has instead asked Angkita to clarify the matter. According to reports, APCC President Bhupen Kumar Bora sent a show cause notice to Angkita on Thursday (April 20) following her allegations. Angkita has been given two days to reply. According to reports, in December 2022, a show cause notice was also issued to Angkita by the State Congress. Now Dr. Angkita Dutta has alleged that Srinivas and Youth Congress secretary-in-charge Vardhan Yadav have been harassing her for the last six months.

On April 18, Angkita posted a series of tweets tagging Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. She accused Srinivas BV of harassment and profanity after giving information regarding her qualifications and education on Twitter. She wrote, "I obtained my PhD degree from Guwahati University. We keep silent, keeping in mind the interests of the party. But the harassment by Srinivas does not subside." She has told that Srinivas BV has harassed her many times.

Dr. Angkita Dutta says that she had told Rahul Gandhi about the harassment during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, but no action was taken. Angkita alleges that she was discriminated against for being a woman. According to her, she was harassed several times in front of the party high command, but no action was taken. Angkita had asked Priyanka Gandhi what happened to the slogan 'Ladki hoon lad sakti hain?' According to Angkita, she had been expecting action on the complaints for months. Now the notice has been handed over to her.
