Earthquake jolts Assam's Guwahati, 4.1 magnitudes on reactor scale

Guwahati: In Assam's Guwahati area, severe earthquakes have been felt. Tremors were felt here at 1 p.m., according to information obtained. The earthquake was validated by the National Centre for Sysmology, which reported that the magnitude was 4.1 on the Richter scale. However, no injuries or property damage have been recorded as a result of the earthquake. People, on the other hand, appear to be in a state of panic.

The epicentre of the earthquake, according to officials at the National Centre for Sysmology, was in the Kamrup area, which is 10 kilometres under the surface of the earth. Tremors were reported in Guwahati and the surrounding areas as a result of this. On April 28, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake rocked Assam, causing damage to multiple structures.

Tremors were also detected in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district at 12 p.m. on Friday. The earthquake had a magnitude of 3.4 on the reactor scale in this location. In addition, at 2:26 p.m., earthquakes with a magnitude of 4.6 were detected in Jalore, Rajasthan.
