On 73rd Republic Day celebration, Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi hoisted the national flag at the Veterinary Field in Khanapara on Wednesday. Assam CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, was also there for the Republic Day celebrations. Prof. Mukhi proposed many developmental projects for the state and the city in particular after hoisting the flag, according to sources. The Assam Chief Minister, on the other hand, was present at Shraddhanjali Kanan in Guwahati's Zoo Road area prior to this occasion, when he hoisted the National Flag. Apart from that, Bhabesh Kalita, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), raised the flag at the party headquarters. At the state secretariat Janta Bhawan in Dispur and the High Court in Uzan Bazar, the national flag was also raised.
