In view of state Assembly elections, the ruling BJP has made efforts to claim all credit of their government with ceremonial launching of the developmental projects as much as possible. Giving a big gift to Assam people, The state urban development minister Pijush Hazarika inaugurated the pipe water supply project at Mangadai to meet the need of the people. The BJP-led government is making every possible effort to attract the voters for the assembly election scheduled in 2021. BJP is working in a war-footing manner to complete the pending projects, some of which were started by the previous Congress government. Assam minister of state (Independent) of the urban development department, Pijush Hazarika, on Thursday evening ceremonially inaugurated the Mangaldai town pipe water supply scheme. The project was inaugurated in presence of Mangaldai Lok Sabha MP Dilip Saikia, Mangaldai MLA Gurujyoti Das, deputy commissioner Dilip Kumar Borah and senior officials of the implementing agency Assam Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Board among others. The water supply project took 8 years to be completed after the laying of the foundation. The foundation stone of the project was laid by then PWD & urban development minister Ajanta Neog in February 2012.
