Aston Villa manager got corona, ruled out of two matches

Aston Villa manager Steven Gerard's Covid Test report has come out positive. He is not going to be with the team for 2 matches in the English Premier League. English club Villa has said Villa is not going to be with the team in the match against Chelsea and Leeds United. Both the matches are scheduled to be played at the home ground in Aston Villa on Sunday. Gerard, 41, joined Aston Villa last month. After which the team has won four of the 6 league matches.

Gerard was made the team's manager after Dean Smith was removed. He has also captained the Liverpool and England, football teams. Villa is ranked 10th in the league with 22 points from 17 matches.  Giving information about Gerard, the club said, "Aston Villa confirms that head coach Steven Gerard will not be able to join Chelsea and Leeds united in our upcoming 2 matches. He is going to live in isolation after being found corona positive."

Match against Burnley postponed: Covid's case at the club has been heard so far ahead of the league match against Burnley.  After which the match has been postponed for 2 hours before the start of the match. A record 90 cases of Covid were heard in the English Premier League last week. Meanwhile, 13 matches have been postponed so far due to the epidemic. A record 1.22 lakh new cases of covid were reported in the UK on Friday. Corona cases have started increasing rapidly here after the arrival of The Omicron Variant of Covid.
