Here is ancient tradition of priests passing through burning Holika

The festival of Holi was celebrated with great fanfare. You will all know that Holika was burnt all over the country before Holi. There is a place in Mathura where the tradition of Holika combustion is totally different and unique. In fact, even today, the Holika is played in a tradition of Hirankashyap and Bhakta Prahlad combustion. In this tradition, a Brahmin priest passes through a 15-foot-high and 24-foot-wide Holika blazing fire and safely discharges the tradition. You may be surprised to hear, but it is true. Thousands of people come from far to see this tradition that is occurring here. This time, this tradition was played by the Monu priest of the village.

Know the legend?- The village we are talking about is The Fallen village, about 55 km away from the district headquarters. This village is also called Prahlad's village. There is a belief that a monk near the village was doing penance and found out about a statue being buried under the Dugar tree in the dream. After seeing this dream, members of the priest family of the village had excavated under the guidance of the saint. In the excavation, statues of Lord Narsingh, Bhakta Prahlad were removed. Happy to see all this, the ascetic monk blessed that " the person of this family who will worship with a pure heart and pass through the fire of the blazing Holi will be enthroned in his body. The heat of the fire will have no effect on it. After all this, Prahlad Temple was built here and Prahlad Kund was constructed near the temple. From that day till today, the Holi of five nearby villages is kept in the village of Fallen to realize Prahlad Lila. The priest family of the village still lives Prahlad Lila today.

This time, at 4 o'clock in the morning on Monday, Prahlad Ji's garland was held in the throat and Monu priest (28-year-old) Prahlad Kund. Here he dived. Then sought permission to pass through Holika on the flame of the monolithic lamp. As soon as the ascendant of the entry into Holika began, Monu jumped into the burning Holika. After that Monu priest took a total of 19 steps at 15 feet high Holika and reached the temple of Sakshal Prahaladji. People living in the village here say that this tradition has been going on for the last 5000 years. Under the tradition, Holika sits on a priest cannon 25 days before combustion, and in the meantime, he does not consume food but only eats fruit.
